Come find out what the 24 Hour Relay is all about with our special INFORMATION NIGHT. It's the Okanagan's true party with a purpose benefiting Okanagan children. Help us send children with special needs to camp this summer, and have the time of your life doing it!

Pink Shirt Day - Bullying Stops With Me

All Okanagan Boys & Girls Clubs
Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 - All Day!


The annual Anti-Bullying PINK SHIRT DAY is Wednesday April 14th. Join the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs as we take a stand against Bullying.


Clubs will be participating in special bullying awareness activities and Pink T-shirts will be available for sale. Club members can take part in our Pink Shirt Day Poster Contest to win great prizes!


JOIN US in taking a stand against bullying by wearing pink on April 14th to work, school, or on your daily routine!

Pink Shirt Day was originally inspired by two incredible Nova Scotia high school students, whom with their teenage friends organized a high-school protest to wear pink in sympathy with a Grade 9 boy who was being bullied. They took a stand against bullying when they protested against the harassment of a new Grade 9 student by distributing pink T-shirts to all the boys in their school.


Armstrong Okanagan Boys & Girls Clubs' Golf Tournament

Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club

The 6th Annual Charity Golf Event for the Armstrong Boys and Girls Clubs has a new venue, the Spallumcheen Golf Course. Located across from the historic O'Keefe Ranch, the Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club offers an enjoyable 9 hole, par 35 course featuring lush green fairways and colourful flowerbeds. 

 

To make this a day of fun and games there is a $10,000 hole in one, a longest drive contest and a closest to the pin challenge.  Your afternoon of golf will conclude with a lovely steak dinner and a silent auction.

Registration after April 28, 2010 is $55 per person or $220 per team.

Okanagan 24 Hour Relay for the Kids

Saturday, June 12th, 2010 - Saturday 10am - Sunday 10am


It's not too early to start thinking about entering your team for the 5th annual Okanagan Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay for the Kids supporting the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs' Camp ArrowFlight.


This is the Okanagan's foremost fun, fitness, and fundraising event. It's a true party with a purpose with teams setting up camp in the centre of the City at the Kelowna Apple Bowl Stadium.


Participate in live entertainment, recreation activities, volleyball and bocce tournaments, Kidzone, food & beverage garden and more! Teams run or walk for 24 hours in support of sending kids to camp.

Ahoy Mateys! The 4th annual Variety Boat for Hope is getting ready to set sail. Families with children with special needs are invited to join us for a special day on the water with members of the Kelowna Yacht Club.


Dress as a pirate and set out on the water for a special treasure hunt, then return to land for the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs' Treasure Island land event with fun games, activities, live entertainment and barbeque lunch.

Interior Savings Moonlight Movie

Thursday, July 15th, 2010 - Movie Starts at Dusk


Families are invited to enjoy a unique cinema experience under the stars, as a giant inflatable movie screen is set up in Kelowna’s City Park. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy a popular family friendly movie in the park.


Vote online starting in June on the www.boysandgirlsclubs.ca website to decide which movie will be shown.


Free family event with donations being accepted for the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs.

Capri Charity Golf Classic

Harvest Golf Course
Wednesday, August 18th, 2010 - Registration starts at 12:30pm


The 20th annual Capri Charity Golf Classic returns to the beautiful Harvest Golf Course on Wednesday August 18th. Don't miss out on this player-rated 'best golf tournament of the year'.

 

Registration fee includes 18 holes on one of Kelowna's most prestigious golf courses, power cart, lunch & beer voucher, the Harvest's premium BBQ dinner, prizes, interactive sampling on-course, and great fun in support of the kids!
